Our Story
From Bingo Cards to Community Impact
Giving Hope Bingo is a nonprofit bingo hall located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We started in 2017 with a clear mission: to raise funds for youth-focused organizations while offering a safe, welcoming space for families and community members to gather and play.
Giving Hope Bingo is proud to be the only dedicated bingo hall within a two-hour radius of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. That means if you’re coming from Mitchell, Brookings, Yankton, Worthington, Madison, or anywhere in between, we’d love to host you.
Every bingo session at our hall helps support programs that serve kids across Southeastern South Dakota providing essentials like meals, clothing, mentorship, education, and healthcare. We do this through our Giving Hope Grant Program, which distributes funds to nonprofits working directly with children and families.
Our hall is designed to be family-friendly and accessible. We welcome players ages 7 and up, and we offer six bingo sessions each week. Located at 1605 W Burnside Street, we’re open Wednesday through Sunday, with seating for individuals, families, and large groups. Our grill offers affordable meals and treats, and our staff is here to make sure every guest feels comfortable and included.
Giving Hope Bingo is more than a place to play, it’s a way to give back. Whether you’re joining us for a regular session, reserving a private room, or hosting a fundraiser, you’re helping us support kids and build community, one game at a time.
Meet the Leaders Behind the Bingo Cards
NEIL – FOUNDER
Neil is the Founder and President of Giving Hope Inc., where he leads with a results driven mindset with more than 20 years of experience in the service and nonprofit sectors. His leadership centers on a simple but powerful mindset to: support children and strengthen the community.
In October 2016, Neil took over the former Burnside Bingo and began transforming it into what is now Giving Hope Inc. Under his direction, the organization has evolved into a vibrant nonprofit hub filled with engaging programs, fresh menu offerings, and a warm, welcoming environment where people of all ages can come together. What was once a bingo hall is now a community gathering place built on fun, connection, and purpose.
Neil is constantly exploring new ways to give back to organizations that serve children across southeastern South Dakota. He actively builds relationships with regional nonprofits, pilots new program ideas, and ensures that every bingo night is fun, lively, and meaningful. His vision and energy continue to push Giving Hope Inc. forward, creating opportunities that uplift kids and strengthen the community as a whole.
Alissa – Operations
Meet Alissa, the Operations Manager at Giving Hope Inc., where she has been a driving force since 2018. With more than 20 years of leadership and operations experience in the university sector, she brings a wealth of expertise and heart to the organization.
Drawn to opportunities that make a meaningful impact on youth in the Sioux Falls community, Alissa connected with Neil at Giving Hope Bingo and immediately knew she had found the right place to continue her mission of service.
In her role, Alissa oversees day‑to‑day operations and collaborates with groups and organizations to coordinate fundraising events and special activities within the hall. She thrives on meeting new people, sharing the vision and mission of Giving Hope Inc., and stepping in wherever she’s needed. It’s no surprise you’ll see her wearing many hats throughout the day.
Beyond her work at Giving Hope, Alissa volunteers with the Make‑A‑Wish Foundation of South Dakota & Montana, a cause that holds a special place in her heart.
